How To Play "Purple Rain" On Guitar

As you know - and could read about in a previous blog post
titled:

We Have Been to a Vocal Group with
Surprising Modern Reportoire! 

Some time ago we went to a preformance

from the Vocal Group named BRIGHT VOIZZ

In the post I wrote about how Surprising Modern their
Reportoire is, with for example amung their Reportoire a recent
song from Pink, and they also did "Purple Rain" from Prince.

The song starts with a pretty amazing sounding Electrical Guitar INTRO, that sounded extra special with the great acoustic properties from the space. Offering some Great Music Listening

As you know I like Making Music and I am Inspired by it, and I was wondering if I could also play that INTRO on guitar myself, and if I could possibly find a video with somebody telling about the CHORDS to play.

I did find a VIDEO about how to play the INTRO in the video here above.

I also did find an other video that with more video's
that also has some graphical support in explaining it,
and goes into the whole song !

Some time ago in a previous blog post I wrote
that I have seen Hermine Deurloo Perform
with Mike Boddé in a Toots Thielemans Tribute concert

I actually did briefly see Hermine and Mike walking by

near the Bar, from De Boerderij in Huizen,

knowing that Mike is a well known Performer, and that

Hermine also is a well known Mouthorgan player, only not

knowing that she also worked together with so many other

Big Names in Music like for example:

Toots, Ladies of SOUL; Candy Dulfer, Trijntje Oosterhuis

and even Al Jarreau as I later on discovered

reading her Hermine Deurloo Wikipedia Page

When you regularly read my blog posts, you know that 

Besides Guitar & Piano, I also frequently practice

Playing on my own (Chromatic) Mouthorgan myself

with Our Little Music Group

At the perfomance in Theater De Boerderij I noticed

that while I also can play soft, I usually am inclined to mainly blow

pretty hard on it with great intencity. Hemine has

a much more controlled air flow.

It is Inspring to hear that there is a wide array

of room between ON and OFF :) 

While I do think that my "Full Throttle" Approach of playing
can work pretty well with playing an Up-Tempo Blues during a
JAM-Session Like with playing what I named

"Out of the Blue BLUES"

And might actually add a special Dynamic to it, althought I did discover recently that
with playing with Our Little Music Group that with playing in a more accompanying way
it's good to know that it's possible to also choose for a
more controlled approach to playing.

for example "Starry Starry Knight" that I know performed
by Don McLean, a song about Dutch Post-impressionist Painter Vincent van Gogh,
and his famous Painting "The Starry Night". They even had a self composed song as well !
They sing amung others with Polyphonic voices.

What we have Looked 

and Listened to recently,

We looked at a few episodes of the Masked Singer already,
and it appears that we have become pretty good at recognising singing voices.
we already recognised more than one!

Listening to Music is one of the things that I enjoy doing, so

 I know many songs from Music perfomances I have been to
 and from ones I see on TV or heared on the Radio. 

One of the voices was from somebody that I know from his songs on the radio, and weirdly enough I realised that I also once actually met him at a Birthday Party, and had a conversation. So possibly that also might have helped a little in recognising his voice.
