Great Music Listening; Jazz-singer Sietske with her Band

DISCOVER endearing Music

with Quiet Complexity

Some time ago infact a year ago in our local newspaper
in the Diary slot, I saw a short announcement about a music perfomance:
Jazz-singer Sietske with her band.

I like jazz music so I was curious about their music.

They played their latest release
titled: "Leaving Traces".

Sietkse explained the title: As I have understood, it has to

To My Surprise I Saw Several People that I Met at the Grammy Awards!

Good Morning, - Afternoon or - Evening,
Welcome (back) on this blog....,

Great to have
you here on this blog, because today
I have a

Great Story
for you....,

Recently I looked at the Grammy Awards, and
Although - as you can read about

on the About Page -
It's not entirely uncommon for me to meet somebody famous...,

At the Grammy Awards you could see many really famous Artists,
those that you will not expect to frequently meet, or bump into
at your local Super Market.

So I didn't really expect to see many people
that I actually ever met at the Award Show.

'So you can imagine how surprised
I was to actually see several I had met amungst them!'

Because to my surprise when a Band called the Black Key's
came on stage I saw that they appreared together with an other Band Called the

Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

(Also Discover this Pretty Amazing Story About

This Preservation Hall Jazz Band Video Clip Location !)

Since I do like Jazz Music
And like to Listen to Great Music

(as you can for example also
read about in my post titled:

Lidel Shouth Sea Jazz 2012)

I actually met that particular Jazz Band yeeeears ago
on one of my many

Music Adventures when I
saw them perform in New Orleanse.

Funny Story

(Btw. you can read more about
things like writing Great Stories etc. etc.
on the special Happy WRITING Blog)

Playing for an Audience, and Also Making Photos for (Nature Loving) Audiences with - Photo Challenges - on Twitter !

Do You Know About Any of the  Great Music That's getting Performed?  As you could also read about in an older previous blog post titled: So Many Things to Tell So Many Things to Show I noticed that there are  many Performances I have listened to that I haven't yet wrote any Tweets or blog posts about.

Music Connections

Although I don't write many posts on this blog,
I do have a strong connection with Music;
I even worked full-time in the Music Business
for a while.

Music Connections
& Music Memories:

It's wonderful how Music connects people,
Musicians understand each other and form unexpected
collaborations.

Because of the recent death of Prince there's
more of his music on the radio. (Also several other
big artists from that time passed away recently.)
It brings back a lot of memories from my youth
and also of my time in the Music Business,
many years ago.

On one occasion at my Tennis Club there where several
artists performing. At one funny moment a singer dropped her
long hair over the head of a bold man from another band,
so it looked as if the man had long hair.

Tennis Tournament:

I also remember that we had a Tennis Tournament
with collegues and Artists. Among the artists
was the singer who sang at my tennisclub. We played
in the same poule. Everybody had a lot of fun
and we had many laughter attacks.

Now recently, on Kingsday, at our town square
there was a performance of the same singer from that time.
A great chance to see and hear her again, so I went there.

She asked someone from the audience on stage to sing and dance along.
To my surprise she choose me.
After such a long time (more than 15 years ago) she
didn't recognize me but the relaxed
and fun vibe was still there!

Lucky enough I did recognized a Rumba in the Music,
so had some notion about how to move,
to the Music, only it was

Pretty spontaneous, and somewhat awkward,
because while I do have voice-/microphone experience
(with amung other things being with our Little Music Group, and
also from Job Experience), do know the movie GEASE, and
am pretty familiar with most of the lyrics of the songs,

Unfortunately especially this particular
track Nr. 13 as I recognized later on
on my GREASE CD titled:

'Those Magic Changes'.

I hardly knew any of the lyrics from.

I also am not particularly used to standing on stage and
combining dancing with acting out a song that
I don't know very well, without any rehearsal, or sound check
hardly hearing myself, so to my surprise the last
slightly to high note, probably must have sounded
somewhat like a Sea Lion that did catch a cold.

About The Living Room Festival Performances

As you might have seen in one of our previous Tweets you see here below,
There have been some Special Living Room Festival Performances,

And you know that besides Making Music Myself I also like to

Look at TV-Shows about Dancing & Singing or TV-shows

like The Masked Singer, and I like to go to Music Perfomances,

an other thing that I enjoy doing is to

Write about Music & Musicians Like I recently wrote about a very special

perfomance from Floor Jansen & Henk Poort (see video)

singing the Phantom of the Opera

in a very special way!

While we already have been busy with putting our 3 Special Themed Christmas Designs in our Webstore, and Our Highly Special Personalizable

Christmas - MENU - CARDS

etc. etc.

We also made time for listening to Music as well,

In this Blog post you can read about some of the

Living Room Festival Perfomances I have been to.

The First Woonkamerfestival
will be on November 10th in Huizen

Artists will perform in their home

As you see in the Title of this Blog post;

We Visited 4 Living Room Festival Perfomances,

And below you see some info about them, and with
their Band Names & Contact Info

Nr.1 Music Perfomance, including Story Telling
was from a Member of my own Little Music Group who performed some of his own self composed songs!

Nr. 2 was from SERENDIPITY see Tweet here below

that was located in a Restaurant that we Tweeted About Before

Living Room Festival

SERENDIPITY had several great songs like
for example "Starry Starry Knight" that I know performed
by Don McLean, a song about Dutch Post-impressionist Painter Vincent van Gogh,
and his famous Painting "The Starry Night". They even had a self composed song as well !
They sing amung others with Polyphonic voices.

Nr. 3 was from The Sweets, also Polyphonic, an actual Close harmony vocal group
Their voices all have their own sound, and both individual and
combined together sounding pretty amazing !

As I wrote about in my post titled:

So Many Things to Tell....,

There are several of Music Performances I have been to
that I didn't yet wrote Blog posts about,

the Performance from Massada is one of them, I remember that I also did make notes
from a previous time they played at the same location, while I

wanted to write that I had the impression that that Performance (and also this recent one)
have been a better experience for what the variety in up-tempo and slower songs
is concerned, compared to when I saw and heared them play several years ago
at the Lidel South Sea Jazz 2012

Something More About
Percussion Instruments:

In the Music there where several great sounding
uptempo rhytems going on ! ! !

and I noticed that for the
Percussion playing, occasionally a Waterbottle was used

to play the Cymbals!

And something more,

In one of my previous other blog posts titled:

some more background info about Percussion Instruments

with info about Instruments like

Maracas and a Guiro,

Recently I had been invited to the Lidl South Sea Jazz
There where several great acts with music you
might like to consider adding to your music collection,
