For some time I have been procastinating to write about
my JAM-Session, because there are
So Many Things To Tell So Many Things To Show and there also are so many Angles
that I could write about it.....,
I also actually already did write about it a little
from the Angle of where I get my Inspiration from, (and the
Angle of Playing for An Audience,)
and from the Angle of My Mouthorgan itself you can read about it
in these 3 Blog posts titled:
* JAM-Session: Recently I Played In a JAM-Session
* Playing with a Jammed Mouthorgan: A Real - JAMMED - Mouthorgan
For Doing a JAM-session
* Repaired the Mouthorgan: JAMMED Mouthorgan is Now
UN-JAMMED and Ready to GO ! ! !
I want to write about it some more,
now it's still somewhat fresh,
Here is an other part about it.
I already did make some notes about it,
How It Started:
I heard about there would be some JAM-Sessions planned,
only I didn't know exactly when, talked about it before,
heared about it from other Music Enthousiasts.
Than only a few Hours before the JAM-Session started, I heard from my
sister that there would be a JAM-Session that evening, and that
there would be a few people I know in the audience, making me feel
a little bit better about it than walking into a room with
only total strangers. One of them also knew two of the
other Jammers that she knew from work.
Entering my Name:
It was a little more crowded than I expeceted.
With entering the room I had my Mouthorgan with me,
and because of it I was pointed to a list where
I could enter my Name and Music Instrument.
At this point I was still somewhat 'Sitting on the Fence' if
I would actually play myself to begin with, or if I firts would look
at some of the other players play, since I don't perform that often
other than playing with my own little Music Group, and
recently with my 'Sort of Singing Performance'.
Besides some familiar faces, there
was also a friend of a friend of mine. (some years ago
he played at the wedding of that friend, in a place
with great acousitcs) Talking to him, he asked
what I was going to play. Not exactly fueling
my confidence, I was thinking:
'Am I supposed to have practice for a specific song
that I am the only one that doesn't know about or something?'
Isn't that the whole point of a JAM-Session,
doing more something Improvising on the spot...?
Read More about it Soon….!!!
