complexity of my thoughts and feelings that accompanied
this second JAM-Session Playing for an Audience

Playing for an Audience, and Also Making Photos for (Nature Loving) Audiences with - Photo Challenges - on Twitter !

Do You Know About Any of the  Great Music That's getting Performed?  As you could also read about in an older previous blog post titled: So Many Things to Tell So Many Things to Show I noticed that there are  many Performances I have listened to that I haven't yet wrote any Tweets or blog posts about.

Getting Back Into a Fun & Playful Mood to Play

For some time I have been procastinating to write about
my JAM-Session, because there are
So Many Things To Tell So Many Things To Show and there also are so many Angles
that I could write about it.....,

I also actually already did write about it a little

Any Idea What Kind of Music Instruments

I Usually Experiment With? 

With Our Little Music Group I
usually do things like Mouthorgan, Piano or Guitar, experimenting,
making constant improvements, and (Nowadays) I usually
also use a Microphone with it.

I am pretty used to using a Microphone

Recently I went to an Art Café, with amung other things
a presentation about Using Photo Collages for Art Journaling and I learned that
there also would be a Music Preformance (also see our Tweet about it)

from a South American Trio, with everybody from an different part
of South America. I read about a Singer from Argentina,

Creating a CHORD BOOK for Making Music

Sometime ago I wrote this Post (You See here Below) about Creating a CHORD BOOK....., 

 (Now I also added Several New Reportoire from a New Music Group, 

in a more organised fashion, neathly organised in several Blocks.

With some consistancy I am

Making Music with Our Little Music Group

Recently I joined a little Music Group with weekly meetings to talk about Music
and also actually making some Music together. We also talk about Music repertoire
and about songs we like, or talk about melodies and song lyrics we made.

Songwriting:

I also made some notes about Songwriting, writing down some lyrics now and than, and
for some time I have been collecting info about Songwriting from those notes,

I noticed that many Songwriters start with a Melody that has a certain - feel -
and later on develope lyrics that fit that feel, while I seem to have been
doing it the other way around.

So possibly this might be an interesting other approach
to experiment with.

Although I don't write many posts on this blog,
I do have a strong connection with Music;
I even worked full-time in the Music Business
for a while.

Music Connections
& Music Memories:

It's wonderful how Music connects people,
Musicians understand each other and form unexpected
collaborations.


Because of the recent death of Prince there's
more of his music on the radio. (Also several other
big artists from that time passed away recently.)
It brings back a lot of memories from my youth
and also of my time in the Music Business,
many years ago.

On one occasion at my Tennis Club there where several
artists performing. At one funny moment a singer dropped her
long hair over the head of a bold man from another band,
so it looked as if the man had long hair.

Tennis Tournament:

I also remember that we had a Tennis Tournament
with collegues and Artists. Among the artists
was the singer who sang at my tennisclub. We played
in the same poule. Everybody had a lot of fun
and we had many laughter attacks.

Now recently, on Kingsday, at our town square
there was a performance of the same singer from that time.
A great chance to see and hear her again, so I went there.

She asked someone from the audience on stage to sing and dance along.
To my surprise she choose me.
After such a long time (more than 15 years ago) she
didn't recognize me but the relaxed
and fun vibe was still there!








Lucky enough I did recognized a Rumba in the Music,
so had some notion about how to move,
to the Music, only it was

Pretty spontaneous, and somewhat awkward,
because while I do have voice-/microphone experience
(with amung other things being with our Little Music Group, and
also from Job Experience), do know the movie GEASE, and
am pretty familiar with most of the lyrics of the songs,

Unfortunately especially this particular
track Nr. 13 as I recognized later on
on my GREASE CD titled:

'Those Magic Changes'.

I hardly knew any of the lyrics from.

I also am not particularly used to standing on stage and
combining dancing with acting out a song that
I don't know very well, without any rehearsal, or sound check
hardly hearing myself, so to my surprise the last
slightly to high note, probably must have sounded
somewhat like a Sea Lion that did catch a cold.

In the Photo here above you see the Weekend Magazine from a local Newspaper with a featured article about Saskia Laroo, and a few CD's from Saskia Laroo & Warren Byrd that I have, and one of them from a CD I bought during Their Performance in De Boerderij, in Huizen.

That particular CD has the autographes from both of them on it.

Yesterday I discovered that I have the Chords (and Notes) of the Song Imagine 

from John Lennon, So that I now also can figure out how to play the Chords on Guitar, and Piano.
