A Perfomance I Recently Went To
in one of my previous blog posts about One of my recent JAM-Performances
I wrote about how the use of Lights can add to
the Perfomance,
Just recently I went to a Live Performance from
SuperPianoShow,
Although I did know that there would be Live Music, on a Piano,
I had no particular idea about what to expect...,
When I entered the room distracted by thoughts, showing my ticket,
hanging up my coat etc. etc. I first thought it to be something like Music
comming from the DJ-booth or something, to discover that it was indeed
a Live Perfomance, with much more than only Piano, indeed a Piano Show,
with also Singing and a wide variety of reportoire, and even the
Piano seemed to be part of a Las Vegas type of light show!

An Easy Way to Play
In my younger years I occasionally played on the Piano and on my Keyboard,
without ever actually look into how the notes are arranged on the Keyboard,
or how actual Chords are played,
Just recently with the help of
the YouTube Videos from Instant Piano Genius
I begun to learn a little more about
How to actually play Chords as you can read about
in a previous Blog Post titled:

Just recently a friend of mine told me about an other interesting way to
Play the Piano or Keyboard as you can see in the Video Here below

Soul Music on the Radio.
(performing amung others 'Leave the Door Open', (known from Bruno Mars
as far as I know from the top of my mind,) and a Summer Vibes Medley
that started with Good Times etc. etc.)
Some time ago I discovered that one of the Ladies of SOUL (Candy Dulfer), also has her own Radio Show on Sublime FM; Candy's World
that transmits tomorrow, Sunday Evenings from 19.00-21.00 uur.
Talking about SOUL Music, as a reminder I also like to
write about the fact that...,
I recently discovered an article in a local newspaper (De Gooi en Eemlander)
about Ferry Maat's SOUL Show, a Radio Show that
I listened for years, on the Thursday Evenings
some years ago.
(I will probably elaborate a little more on this in future posts)
In the newspaper article I read that his show
went online from 2015 at: Soulshow.nl
He transmits on Radio from Bonaire.

Ten days ago I went to Laren Jazz 2010 a Jazzfestival that
I enjoyed very much. We went with a small group of people
first having diner in a nearby restaurant. Lucky enough
the temperature was good enough to sit outside and

Last Saterday I went to a Toots Thielmans Tribute Concert
Performed by Hermine Deurloo
& Mike Boddé & Frans van der Hoeven
in 'Theater De Boerderij' in Huizen.

Besides Guitar and Piano, I also frequently practice
Playing on my own (Chromatic) Mouthorgan myself
with Our Little Music Group
At the perfomance in Theater De Boerderij I noticed
that while I also can play soft, I usually am inclined to mainly blow
pretty hard on it with great intencity. Hemine has
a much more controlled air flow.
It is Inspring to hear that there is a wide arrayTheir performance was a great Tribute to Toots Thielemans,
of room between ON and OFF :)
with a variety of his music, with amung other things the
Famous TV-tune from the
Dutch TV-series Baantjer a TV series that has run for years on Dutch Television. (it actually is a TV series
that I once weirdly enough
got a tiny 'Part' in as an Extra ! when they filmed in our Class-room at our School)
It was pretty special to See Actor Piet Römer (famous from TV) standing for our Class Room.
So it's not that after that I imidiately expected Casting Agencies to make me an instant Movie-star, however come to think of it,
You can also see an Impressive Cameo Appearance of Myself, (from a 'Just a few years back') and
at that time I actually did know somebody that did get a leading role in an actual
Big Screen Movie Production !
For me living near Hilversum ('Hillywood') where the Broadcasting Stations are it was not that unusual to spot people known from Film and TV, infact at that time I also had one of my Teachers that was known from TV.
You Can See that I Added the TV-tune VIDEO to our
YouTube MUSIC Video's Playlist.
They also performed amung other things the TV-tune from
the Sitcom Stanford and Sons that brought back
many memories.
It was real Great music Listening, The accompanying Piano and the Base Sounded Smooth and if Playing is Effortless to them.

I have experimented with some melody sequences andalso actually did discover some pretty wild improvisations,And also recently experimented on Piano with creatingsomewhat of a Groove with my left hand, to have some sort of a "Pattern to Float On"and improvise on it, with the other hand.And did practice some of the principles that I wrote about earlier,and although it does feel somewhat liberating that
